The Ongoing Case between Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Federal government over the false declaration of assests has been shifted to 25th of this month.
This was due to the innavailabilty of the witness scheduled to testify against the senate president. The prosecution council was said to have informed the tribunal chairman about the recent development which led to the prosponement.
This decision was embarked upon due to the issues the prosecution council was having with the witness.
A letter was being sent through the prosecution council to the tribunal chairman to shift the hearing date on the grounds that, the witness would not appear on the fixed date.
Mr Danladi Umar, the tribual chairman had at the last adjourned date fixed the trial for 18th of April for continuation of cross- examination.
However, Senate President Bukola Saraki’s lawyers are very convinced and confident that charges against the Senate President will not stand the test of time, reports says.
