A 27-year-old Ruby Kate Coursey who resides in Georgia, has been charged for the murder of her ex-boyfriend, a 33 year old Troymaine Johnson. According to Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore, Kate Coursey has been charged with felony murder and neglect of a disabled adult after allegedly pushing him out of her car and abandoning him at a hunting camp to fend for himself.
It was reported by the GBI Crime Lab that Johnson’s cause of death was homicide due to hypothermia. His body was found at a hunting camp in the woods off Triune Mill Road on March 17– 4 days after he was last seen.
The sheriff’s office found him after receiving a tip from Kate Coursey’s both brother and sister-in-law, who told them Coursey said she had left a man in the woods.
Kate Coursey was taken into custody for an outstanding probation warrant and not charged Until the results of the autopsy is out.
Troymaine Johnson is a paraplegic who can’t use his legs and only partially use one of his arms, was last seen alive March 14, when his wicked ex-girlfriend Coursey allegedly picked him up to go for a ride or trip to the store, intentionally dropping his wheelchair at home. Rather than taking him to the store, Coursey allegedly drove to a hunting campground which is about 70 miles south of Atlanta, and dumped Johnson next to a camper then drove off.
Kilgore said “Records show temperatures at that time had plunged into the mid-20s and those were some of the coldest nights in recent days”
she was charged on Monday with murder and neglect of a disabled adult — both felonies, when the result of the autopsy came out, Her motive for her action was unclear, officials said.
Johnson, who was known as “Troy” was remembered as a talented rapper, funny and kindhearted man, WMAZ-TV reported.
